Askey showcases its next-generation broadband and wireless networking solutions at the SCTE TechExpo 2026, focusing on applications that extend high-speed broadband to outdoor scenarios. With the highlight of the “Strand-Mount AP,” it combines DOCSIS 4.0 and high-speed Wi-Fi technology to extend broadband networks to outdoor for applying in smart cities, public Wi-Fi hotspots, large campuses, and more. The Strand-Mount AP features an IP67-rated design, suitable for outdoor deployment. It offers a maximum data rate of 18.7 Gbps and supports DOCSIS 4.0 or SFP+ fiber backhaul, as well as 1 Gbps PoE+ power output. Through flexible network backhaul options, service providers can leverage the existing network infrastructure to extend high-speed broadband to outdoor areas, fulfilling the Wi-Fi coverage to meet connectivity needs in public spaces, campuses, and large venues.

For indoor broadband applications, Askey displays the GPON/XGSPON Wi-Fi 8 Gateways, which integrate high-speed fiber access with next-generation Wi-Fi 8 technology to extend speedy broadband throughout a residence, meeting the demands of high-bandwidth applications, including 4K video streaming, video conferencing, and online gaming.
